You Answered. Auntie V Listened. Here’s What’s Really Keeping Us Up at Night.

By Auntie V | The Healing Consultant

A little while ago, I asked the Healie Hive a simple question:

“What keeps you up at night?”

And y’all showed out.

The comments came in fast. The DMs followed. And honestly? Reading through every single response reminded me why I started this community in the first place — because we are all carrying more than we let on.

But here’s what struck me most: your answers weren’t just personal. They were universal. Because the research says the exact same thing the Healie Hive said.

So let’s talk about it. The top three things keeping America — and our people — up at night.

#1 — Stress and Anxiety

This one wasn’t even close. It was the number one answer across the board.

And it makes complete sense. We are living in a world that does not stop. The to-do list never empties. The notifications never quit. The worries pile up before the lights even go off.

Nearly three out of four Americans report that stress disrupts their sleep on a regular basis — and over two-thirds say anxiety is what keeps them tossing and turning night after night.

So if you’ve ever laid down completely exhausted and watched your brain immediately launch into a highlight reel of everything you forgot to do, every conversation that didn’t go right, and every bill that’s due — you are in very good company.

This is not weakness. This is what happens when we never give ourselves permission to exhale.

#2 — Physical Discomfort

The second answer that kept showing up: “my body will not let me get comfortable.”

Tension in the shoulders. Soreness that lingers. That one spot in your back that’s been speaking to you all week. We push through it during the day — and then at night, when everything gets quiet, the body finally gets its turn to talk.

More than half of Americans say they would feel better with more sleep — but physical discomfort is one of the most common things standing in the way of actually getting there.

Your body is not working against you. It’s trying to get your attention.

#3 — A Mind That Just Won’t Quit

Tired but wired. That’s how so many of the Healies described it. And it might be the most frustrating feeling there is.

Almost half of American adults say they have trouble staying asleep three or more nights a week. Not occasionally. Regularly.

You’re exhausted. But the moment your head hits the pillow — your mind has other plans. The mental replay starts. The lists resurface. The worries that felt manageable in daylight feel a whole lot bigger at midnight.

Sound familiar?

Here’s What Auntie V Wants You to Sit With

All three of these — the stress, the physical discomfort, the racing mind — are your body’s way of waving a flag. Not a white flag of defeat. A signal flag. A “something needs attention here” flag.

And the good news? You don’t have to overhaul your entire life to start feeling different. Sometimes it starts with something small. A moment of stillness. A ritual that tells your body it’s safe to rest now. A wellness product that supports what your body is already trying to do.

That’s what The Healing Consultant is here for. Not to replace anything. Not to fix everything. Just to walk alongside you while you figure out what your body needs.

Because healing doesn’t start with a solution. It starts with paying attention.

And y’all? You’re already doing that.
